EURREPAS
EURopean network of Regional and municipal Environmental Protection AgencieS

There are hundreds of regional and local environ-mental protection departments, agencies, inspectorates and committees all over Europe and for them work thousands of environmental experts. They play a crucial role in the implementation and enforcement of national environmental legislation, but also of EU Directives. It is important that these organizations and experts communicate and interact directly with each other, not only at the national scale, but also internationally. In that way we can consult each other, use good solutions which have already been used elsewhere and prevent that the wheel is reinvented over and over again.
Therefore we have started to build the pan-European network EURREPAS.
